Welcome to the new web site for the Aurora Project of Aurora, W.Va.
Our previous website and URL did not accurately reflect West Virginia/Appalachia connection of our work. Nor did it provide us with the means to do justice to the many talented artists who exhibit and present their work in our Preston County gallery year after year.
In the weeks ahead, our new site will be update with the exhibitions and presentations that will be happening at The Project’s country store gallery on Route 50 from May to October 2026. Look for both three-dimensional and two-dimensional art exhibitions by artists from across the state, as well as a special exhibition of the late Lewis Stemple’s work depicting Aurora and the environs. And watch for the date of the 2026 Aurora Project Barn Dance, our signature fundraising and community-building event in October.
